Why choose wood?

A 2005 WWF report confirms that timber-framed windows from certified sustainable sources are significantly better for the environment than PVCu, requiring less energy to make and generating less waste. Wood is also a far better insulator than PVCu, which means the gains made by the coated double or triple glazing are not lost through the frames.
